I will be reading a couple of my Arabic poems with musical accompaniment but having attended the rehearsals I can tell you that the whole program is very beautiful.ï؟½ Lovely original and folkloric Arabic works will be performed.

I hope you can be there.

I hope this email finds you in the best of health and happiness! As most of you already know, Iï؟½ve been working the past few months preparing for an important concert under the title "I'm All That", which will be the main and only Egyptian night at this yearï؟½s prestigious festival du monde arabe in Montrï؟½al.
The concert will be taking place on Wednesday November 10th, 2010 at 8pm in the studio-thï؟½ï؟½tre in Montrï؟½al's Place des Arts as part of Montrï؟½al's 2010 festival du monde arabe. ï؟½Attached is the concert poster too!

Youï؟½re invited to a very special evening entitled "I'm All That" celebrating our diverse, embracing and multi-faceted Egyptian identity. In addition to around 10 of my own new Arabic songs, which mainly carry the theme of celebrating and promoting tolerance, inter-faith dialogue and diversity, I will also be performing a couple of traditional Egyptian songs by the legendary musician Sayyed Darwish.

ï؟½

We promise you a very special and memorable evening! We're very lucky that on stage with us, we'll have a group of talented musicians, vocalists, poets, etc. In terms of musicians, youï؟½ll enjoy a wonderful and unique Middle Eastern/Quï؟½bec ensemble that we formed over the past few months. This includes: on the Lute/Oud (Dr. Naseef Gebeil), Neyy (Zayid Baghdadi), Riqq/Duff (Amar Lazam), Qanun (Nour), Bass Guitar (Franï؟½ois Landry), Violin (Anit Ghosh) and table/precussion (Karim Nagi). We will also be joined by Montreal-based Egyptian poet Ehab Lotayef who will reciting a couple of his most special Egyptian poems that he wrote, accompanied with music. Also, for the first time in Montreal, we will be joined by our Boston-based Egyptian percussionist/folk dancer Karim Nagi (more about him at: www.karimnagi.com). ï؟½We will also be joined by the young talented Toronto-based Egyptian hymns performer Sally Dawoud presenting a couple of Arabic language and Coptic language hymns. There will also be a couple more surprises....
