I sent a mail to proff Ma.
the content of the mail is as follows.
Respected Sir,
I am Nandyala Guptha Vivekanand. I was present in the meeting regarding the project on 1st March. Upon agreement of all the team members, they nominated me as the team leader. We were assigned to do a market survey on the availability of Commercially available off the shelf products that can support a datarate of atleast 100Mbps in the baseband frequency range. Even after we tried our best till now, we were only able to find
1) REALTEK - RTL8188SU
Specifications-
- CMOS MAC, Baseband PHY and RF in a single chip for IEEE 802.11b/g/n compatible WLAN
- 72.2Mbps receive PHY rate and 72.2Mbps transmit PHY rate using 20MHz bandwidth
- 150Mbps receive PHY rate and 150Mbps transmit PHY rate using 40MHz bandwidth
- Compatible with 802.11n specification.
Sir please guide us if we are moving in the right direction. Some of the doubts that the team members have is,
1) The baseband frequency of operation is protocol specific, so should we venture into other protocols other than 802.11AD too, that can satisfy the datarate requirement in the baseband frequencies?.
Regards,
Vivekanand
