Thanks to everyone that attended Sunday’s club meeting.  It was good to see so many people – I’m not sure if anyone counted, but there were 20+ people there.

A few things that came out of the meeting:

We will start hosting monthly “no-drop” road and gravel rides.

A no-drop ride means that the pace will ensure that no one is left behind.  There will be regular re-groupings, and if you show up you will not be left behind.

Starting in March we will have:

1st Sunday of the month – no-drop road ride that starts at the same time and place as the regularly scheduled LRC ride (Sunday mornings at 9:00/11:00 depending on time of year).  Those who wish to go fast can go fast, but there will be a group that goes at a slower more inclusive pace.

3rd Saturday of the month – no-drop gravel ride!  More information will come out on this.  We’ll do Saturday so that it does not compete with the road ride.  Ride start location will likely change from ride to ride so that it’s not a 30-mile round trip to get to the gravel

What’s needed?  For both rides we need several people to commit to being at these events.  If you can be at the rides please let the club know that you'll be there.

Based on the success of the monthly format, we can determine if a more regular cadence makes sense.

Monthly club meetings.

The LRC Board has been meeting regularly to plan events and take care of any issues (insurance, kit design, etc.)  We’re going to open these up to the entire club.  Going forward we’ll have monthly meetings with an agenda published ahead of time.  Anyone interested in participating is welcome to attend and discuss issues and bring up issues if they wish.  We’ll still have a board (and hopefully adding new board members) to help in decision making, but all club members are encouraged to attend and provide input.

The next meeting will be Sunday, Feb 15, at Boise Brewing.  Agenda and official invite will follow.  (One item to discuss will be: what day/time is best to meet.)

Still outstanding…

The club store at Pactimo will be opening soon.

We will have “late” signup for anyone that missed the fall membership drive.  We’re still fighting the BikeReg system to get this reopened.  We’ll have a solution this week.

Thanks again to those who made it!
