Yo,
So for those of you in NYC, here are some things I am involved with
that you could also get involved with...

Short Super 8mm film
Title: Undetermined
Writer/Director: Tim Covell
Starring: his bathroom sink
Location: Sunset Park, Brooklyn
You would be especially valuable to this project if you owned a light
meter. Or if you enjoyed eating pizza around raw fish heads. Somewhat
"base" in it's content, this film is an excuse to shoot Super8 and hang
out and say we did something with our time.

Architectural photo project
So there's a lot of lost architecture in my neighborhood... (in yours
too, probably). It's sort of high up and no one looks at it because
there are other buildings nearby. Some of it is in disrepair. I wanted
to take some black and white photos of it. I've got a 35mm camera with
a zoom lens and a medium format camera. No tripod. If someone would
like to walk around some weekend and take pictures with me, that'd be
nice.

This is all that's on my mind at the moment. Please post your own
doings and ideas.

PS. I'm also working with friend Amber to come up with lots of T-shirt
designs for banging cafe press store. Ideas and pics welcome! Perhaps
we can send designs out for critiques.

So please don't think my group is lame :-( Post something!

First of all, I have a tripod that I would be happy to let you use.
Also, this lost architecture of which you speak: Is it in the upper
east side, or anywhere nearby that might be not far from where I go to
school?

Secondly, I enjoy drawing, I am capable of coloring images using
PhotoShop, and I have experience with CafePress. If you have an idea
that you want me to help make, I'd be happy to assist however I can.
Or, if I come up with my own design(s), then you'll be the first to
know.

I promise I'll keep in touch if you will!

The architecture I am thinking of IS on the upper east side... though I
can only think of two places right now- which are not enough for a
project. I am going to have to walk around a little more. Yay
tripod!!

Oh, and I was thinking of totally ripping off an old friend's idea for
a tee shirt. He was obsessed with the word Conch (like shell) and he
wanted a shirt that just read "conch". I think it would be nicer if it
were a shirt that said "conch" with a picture of an actual conch. Just
my opinion. Also I just came up with a brilliant idea. Thanks to a
spelling error I have just fixed, I'd like a shirt that says 'I put the
"tea" in tea-shirt' .... Oh the possibilities are endless. I could
have a whole slough of "tea" shirts. 'TEA- making a comeback' ... with
tea and coffee in a boxing ring (tea being Rocky Balboa). OR 'TEA-
watch out! it's hot!'.... Someone should be paying me.

OK so if you really feel that you've got THE perfect image idea for any
of the above tees, PLEASE whip them up. Lets do this shit! (Sorry, I
had to swear to make it worth having to click that you're 18 to come
into the group)

Would you mind telling me specifically where these two places are? It
could be that I pass them everyday and I've never noticed them. Plus,
I'd like to have a better idea of what sort of place you're looking
for, since maybe I could make suggestions of my own. Then, if we can
come up with enough spots between the two of us, you can borrow my
tripod or I can join you or whatever you'd like.

Also, I don't have a lot of free time, but I will do my best to
experiment with those shirt ideas. Don't let the project wait for my
stupid schedule to clear up, though. If you get an offer from a more
efficient graphic designer, take it!

Inefficiency is the heart and soul of this group.  You would be discarded as a member if you were able to actually carry out the things we discuss. No one likes an overachiever!

Haha. Ummm..... I don't remember the addresses of the places.  Well... One of them is on a church at 64th st. & first ave.... and the other one is the side of a building at... sixty-something and Lex... somewhere between Hunter College and the 64th st. F stop.

How do I describe it? It's crest-like.  Lions, trees, sheilds...on a building. It's cool. Maybe I'll take digipics and try to post them on my blog.
