Hello UAV flyers. My name is Ben. I have a 3-D robotics hex that needs it's Pixhawk controller installed and programmed to my new FrSky taranis radio. I'm new to this hobby and Its the busiest time of the year for me at work. I know I can figure out how to do all this given the time but I want to go flying and I don't have the time at present. So I was hoping there was someone out there that could help me get my 3DR hex in the air? I'm willing to pay for this service.

Hello Ben, et al,

My name is Bill and I am also new to this group.  I am in the process of getting a Y6 with PixHawk going and I would like to to do some flying with some local people, once I get it going.  I live in OC (Newport Beach).  I used to fly RC gliders over in Costa Mesa by Estancia High School, but I'm guessing that's a little too close to civilization to fly a big drone.  Since I am new to this I would like to find other people in the LA/OC area that fly on a regular basis to learn from and to share ideas with, and generally just do some flying together.  My long-term goals are to become very knowledgeable at UAVs and fpv and one day make a business out of it.  Until then, I just want to see my Y6 fly and take a few cool videos.

Ben... I have a friend that is helping me with my PixHawk setup.  If you still need help, I can check with him to see if and how he can help.

Looking forward to hearing from other locals (OC / LA / IE, etc).
