Final den meetings and campout

Good morning Pack 22 families,

We will have den meetings at 6:30pm this coming Monday (May 12) unless you hear otherwise from your den leader directly. 

We are meeting at the Los Alamos High School Library.  As always, DO NOT bring knives to the meetings at the high school.  Knives are not allowed on the high school campus. Plan on the den meetings lasting about an hour.

This is the final den meeting of the program year due to Memorial Day and the approaching end of the school year. What that means:
  • All advancement requirements must be complete and communicated to your Den Leaders by Monday evening for your Cub Scout to receive their final awards including rank badges at the final Pack meeting on May 19th. Please double-check any outstanding requirements, especially those that you were expected to do at home.
  • Campout - is next weekend, May 16-18. Information is attached (same as last week).   • Medical Forms - attached. We had some difficulties getting these dropped off last week as intended due to canceled den meetings and me being on travel. I will accept them through the Monday meeting (5/12) but I really need them then. Paper copies are needed. If you can't get paper copies to me at the meeting, please reach out and we'll figure out something. Medical forms are required for all attendees at the campout and Day Camp, including parents and non-scout siblings. These forms are good for 12 months, so if you provided new paper copies in September then I already have them and you do not need to complete them again unless your medical situation changes. If you did not provide new paper copies in September, then I need them now.
  • Dues - I will be sending out emails this weekend if our records still indicate that you have not paid all of your dues for this year. Dues allow our Pack to purchase awards, pinewood derby cars, den and campout supplies, etc.  - they are what let us provide the Scouting program. Reach Stephen at losalamospac...@gmail.com 
  • Note that there is a final Pack meeting next week on May 19th for awards and rank advancement recognition. 

Due to canceled den meetings and lack of availability, we did not have the scheduled full committee meeting last week. We will be having one this week instead.

As we get past the campout, we will start planning next year's program. Please consider sending feedback about what you want to make sure we keep, what you would like to see changed, or what you would like to see added. We will also be hosting some fun events over the summer. Your next year of Scouts technically begins June 1, so you can count any summer activities against next year's requirements!
