Are you using Q4OS TDE or KDE? The difference in Konqueror versions may make the answers slightly different. Also, Konqueror was never really a GREAT browser, it was a better file manager than browser even when it was modern, and it's not been modern in a very long time. Not that it can't be used, but it doesn't support a lot of stuff that more modern browsers do.

If you install the packages, it already looks a bit better However, I still have the problem with the graphic display of some websites (menus are not displayed correctly, photos are displayed twice, etc.) But there are not many websites with this problem. Q4OS is displayed absolutely correctly, for example.

The websites are probably due to the rendering engine that Konqueror uses. It defaults to khtml (which hasn't been updated since the early teens I wanna say?), which supports very few javascript features. So any site that makes extensive use of javascript will probably not work 100% on it. It CAN be made to work with WebKit or the WebEngine (Chromium) engine for much improved compatibility, but this is where the TDE version is lacking. It only supports KHTML by deafult, and I don't know if it support WebKit or WebEngine at all. The KDE version if you have the pacakge konq-plugins installed then DEFAULTS to the WebEngine, so should have MASSIVELY better compatibility than the older TDE version.

There's a serious issue with my laptop which I have been trying to solve from last 6 months! Despite of the decent specs, video playback suffers stuttering in every media player, for ref. I have tried Windows Media Player, VLC, MP4-HC, Films&TV, KMPlayer. The noticeable point is that KMPlayer alone till this time was playing all videos smoothly but its recent update is also witnessing the same problem. I am not sure but maybe KMP was using NVIDIA GPU to decode.I have read hundreds of threads and discussions, I have set Windows power option in PERFORMANCE mode, Intel HD Graphics in PERFORMANCE mode, tried almost 10 different Intel HD Graphics Drivers, have tried every possible way out but it's all in vain. My laptop is facing this right from the day I purchased it, now it's going to be a year trying to resolve this issue. I even installed KLIte Codec Pack but could not help myself. Explaining how the video stutters, it stops momentarily for 0.5-1 sec along with the audio at random places in a normal 720p or 1080p video. This happens for 5-10 times in a normal 5 Min video which believe me, is very annoying. (I normally use .mp4 format vids). Mine research in all these days lead me to terms like 'motion judder' (My display has only 2 freq. settings 40hz/60hz. Another possible reason maybe that my INTEL 5500 graphics card supports only up to DirectX 11.1, but runtime version is 12, coz I have a 5th gen processor. My friends' laptops have a 6th gen processor and so, they don't have this issue. But I can't be too sure as they have 720p display compared to my 1080p display which can be a cause too. I need urgent aid regarding this issue, I don't even know whether I should contact MICROSOFT, or INTEL or HP! I am taking simultaneous helps now though. Laptop Specs- COREi5 5200u , 4GB Ram, NVIDIA 940m 2GB, 1Tb 5400RPM HDD, WIN 10 x64@, 1080p,60hz. Please see to the issue asap and oblige me. And Believe me, simple remedies aren't going to work, I have tried each one of them.

I have attached a pic featuring low performance of INTEL HD Graphics Adapter in Video Transcoding for 720p HD videos. Even my phone has a INTEL ATOM Z3580 processor mated to a 4GB Ram, but there are no video stutters happening like this! I doubt if its a hardware problem in integrated INTEL GPU, however my CPU works great.

Thanks a lot Fed, i am downloading the drivers, will perform the above mentioned steps soon and let you know if the problem persists or not. Once again thanks for your kind help, will update you about the status probably by tomorrow.

Dear Fred, I am extremely sorry to tell you that this solution didn't worked for me. Still, the videos are stuttering, especially 720p in WMP/VLC/Films& TV , now even along-with the stutter white boxes gets formed on the video for around a second, and along with the audio breaking for around 0.5 seconds. And worth mentioning, the previous version KM Player is still playing all the videos flawlessly!

When i uninstalled both the drivers from device manager, the DISPLAY ADAPTERS section vanished away! So, i tried running the setup directly, but it said the system doesn't meets requirements. Then i noticed 2 unknown devices showing down on that list, I updated the driver for the first unknown device by selecting the downloaded Intel driver and restarted. I performed all steps as told, I am beginning to think this as a hardware fault but how come KM Player plays it all still remains a question (Does it uses NVIDIA?) !

The screenshots attached can help a bit Fred, suggestions given by the bench marking software is to increased 'SHARED MEMORY' which is currently 128 MB. It also says that the GPU speed is lower than rated, however i have set it to maximum performance mode!

Dear Fred, Please provide me one day so that i could observe and test the videos on youtube and other formats intensively. I will also run the diagnostic tool and inform you the results by tomorrow positively.

I tested my processor using the diagnostic tool you provided and it passed all tests successfully. Moreover, I tried playing different formats like .mkv and .avi (local videos) and all stuttered the same way.

I have also found another connection to this problem. Yesterday, when i played a video in VLC , it ran smoothly throughout and i checked the Task Manager after that , where the Disk Usage was less than 5-10%. Normally, my disk usage continuously ranges between 40-80% and sometimes even cracks up to 100% !

I have the same disk as that of my friends (TOSHIBA MQ01ABD100), but unlike them, i have a software INTEL RAPID STORAGE TECHNOLOGY installed, which has certain options like LINK POWER MANAGEMENT: Enabled . Should i uninstall this software, why is it present only in my laptop? The apps that mostly eat up my disk usage are SYSTEM , SUPERFETCH,ANTIMALWARE SERVICE EXECUTABLE all running at around 8 MBPS with sudden variations that reach upto 30MBPS sometimes, maybe causing video to stutter, since stuttering happens randomly, and sometimes doesn't happens at all!
