Not able to run slc command from windows command prompt

 I have tried install strongloop at directory level i.e. "node install strongloop", as well as at global level i.e. "node install -g strongloop".

but for some what reason i am not able to run slc command. As whenever i run it i get following error:- 

'slc' is not recognized as an internal or external command,

operable program or batch file.

Need help to move further. Any help would be appreciated.

The installation command is npm install -g strongloop.

There are some "gotchas" on Windows.  See http://docs.strongloop.com/display/LB/Installing+StrongLoop#InstallingStrongLoop-Windows.
