Detective Kat Donovan's life is upended when she finds her divorced fiancé on a dating app, which makes for an interesting concept. This shocking revelation reopens the inquiry into her father's unsolved death and compels her to face a traumatic period in her history. Although there is potential in the blend of police work and personal drama, the film falls short of its potential because of pacing problems and shallow character development.
