The Calendar Killer is undoubtedly a thriller. Not so much a horror picture, but rather a calm, character-driven drama with little violence and a concluding theme that makes it all too real. I enjoy movies that are ultimately about much more than what they appear to be on the surface, and that's what drew me here. It's an uncomfortable watch that can be tough to get into at points. Still, the mystery in each character, combined with the constant questions of trust and paranoia, propels the picture to a gratifying conclusion.
