Data Source descriptions in editor not populating from schema

I'm creating a community connector for Data Studio/Looker Studio. Everything's working great, except I am not able to populate the description column in the data source editor. I have all the fields populated in my schema. I can even see them in Looker Studio by poking through some Apps Script debuggers, but I can't get them to show up in the description column. I am able to edit the description column manually.

New update today, and this is even in the weirder column. I see that some of the descriptions are starting to populate. They're trickling in. I have, of course, refreshed fields, started entirely new documents, entirely new connections. I have republished the connector multiple times. The fact that they are starting to trickle in is very odd.

To be fair, I only started working on the plug-in deployment two days ago, but I would have expected to see all the descriptions come across at once, not just a few at a time (I have 53 fields, plus 2 filters). Is there any technique someone knows how to force a refresh beyond simply the obvious refresh fields button?
