May is the last month of the school year for checking out library
books. The final due date for all library books will be May 29.
Please remember to return all library books on or before the due
date.
Library Book Clubs will resume regular meetings next week.
6th Grade Book Club meets at lunch in the library on Tuesdays and
Thursdays.
The Comic Book Club meets again on May 15 in the library at 7th and
8th grade lunch.
Today’s lunch nachos or pizza. Or bring a healthy lunch from home.
Do not walk around trying to beg from someone. Lunch is out at lunch
time. Go get yourself some. There is no reason for you to be hungry
at school, especially during lunch time.
We are coming up to the end of the year. Do not be surprised by
this!! Plan ahead. Clean your room so you can find library books,
sports uniforms, math and science books.
Check your power school regularly so you are not missing any
assignments. Stay on top of your game so you can keep on playing!!
Remember, an administrative detention more than will result in 8th
graders not being able to go on the 6 Flag trips.
To avoid an administrative detention that means follow all school
rules. Wear school appropriate clothing. Do not use your phones
during the day. Be in your seat before the bell rings.
Dress code for promotion is a formal occasion. No spaghetti straps,
no sleeveless dresses. No sagging. If girl has a dress with thin
straps then she should wear a shawl or other covering.
All library books are due in soon. Check for your name in front of
the library to see if you have any overdue books.
Sports uniforms are due too. Take care of all of your business early
so you are not left out of any activities. Each grade level has a fun
end of year field trip. Do not miss out.
8th graders: If you are interested in being a graduation speaker? If
so, please see your English teacher. Consider speaking. We are
looking for improvement, hard work, people who follow school
expectations.
Congratulations to the track team who all ran well on Thursday at the
Martinez middle school track meet. And thank your dedicated coach,
Coach White. He cares about your running, your health, your decisions
and your feelings. Tell him how much you appreciate his dedication to
you.
