That was a really fun day. The race was much tougher than I expected.
I hacked up my lungs for the rest of the day after the race. The mini-
events were really fun and the slide jam was just plain awesome. You
could really feel the energy and stoke that was going around. I was
able to pick myself up off the ground and hit a few more slides more
than I ordinarily would just from the vibe. Big thanks to Clemson crew
for putting on a really fun, all-day event that brought together lots
of riders from at least 3 states!
Highlights-
Ryan P. exiting the shuttle truck Navy SEAL style
Ian K.'s epic one-footed nose slide
Ross S. brazilian limbo tuck
Nguyen brothers racing neck and neck
Ryan P. manualling the entire parking lot, ftw!
all the slide competitors ripping it up!
I've got some pics and vids to share when I can get a hold of them.
Madison, I'd love to see some of the pics your lady photographer was
snapping.
Oh, and I am extremely sore.
I walked home with a Ladera Purple Heart mini complete , Ian walked
with an Original deck and Ryan took home an XVD drop thru deck. Ross
won the holiest shoe comp for a t-shirt.
