9th General Meeting!

PAC would like to thank everyone who was able to make it out to our 9th general meeting this past Thursday @ 4pm in front of Robek's! And Congratulations to our PMOTW PAUL DE GUZMAN!!!! Check the website www.lbpac.com to keep up with our PMOTW's for the year and to see why they won!

Baked Hawaiian Chicken!?!?! 

PAC would also like to say thanks for supporting us at our fundraisers. We hope you enjoyed the yummy treats sold at our bake sale, the awesome taste of Hawaii at LnL's, and all the tasty wings at our Buffalo Wild Wings fundraiser! Thanks once again for supporting!! All benefits go towards more awesome PAC events for you all!

PAC would like to thank everyone for coming out for Pilipino American Heritage Month. Thanks for coming out to our weekly One Nation events and making this year's PAHM awesome! PAHM is over but don't let your Pilipino pride fade!! 

Friendship Games!!!

Friendship games was as intense, rowdy, and fun as it usually is. And we would like to thank all of you who came out and showed your LONG BEACH PAC PRIDE!! Special thanks to all those who also participated in the games and stayed until the end! Quick little reminder for everyone, F-Games is over! We can all go back to being our naturally friendly selves in life. LBPAC hates for one day not for the whole year. =D Thanks again for coming out!

You love PAC and we love you! This Thursday Nov 11, Unfortunately we will not be having a meeting because campus will be closed!! Still we have some event's to let you know about that is happening throughout the week!! Don't worry we will be back to our normal meeting time the following week!  10th General meeting will commence Nov.18th!! The end of the semester is coming soon!!

~~Kapatids~~

Hey everyone!! So for our next meeting on NOV.18th we will be having a KAPATIDS THEME!!  Rep your family and wear your family colors =D. For every person wearing their family color, you will earn points for your fams!! If you didn't know what the colors are here it is:

North- Purple

West- Red

South- Blue

East- Green

so rep your fams and earn points @ our 9th General Meeting on NOV.18th!!

In addition to next meetings theme's we also have PENNY WARS!  EARN 

FAMILY POINTS!! Rep your family and earn bragging rights for the semester! We will be having Penny Wars!! What is Penny Wars? Well every meeting we will have 4 tin cans. One for every family! For every penny you add in to your family's tin can you gain a point. BUT!!! You can also sabotage other family's by adding silver coins to their cans. Silver coins count as negative points and are equivalent to its value. So a quarter is -25! Get it? Last semester's winner was West! Can your family come out on top this year? Rep your fams!

In addition to Penny Wars. We are rewarding those hard working students on their good grades. So if you have been getting B's and A's then let our Academic/Alumni chair Mary Grace Jalandoni know and points will be added to your family!!

 ~~~JFAV~~~

CSULB will be closed on Thursday, November 11 in observance of Veteran's Day. In celebration of this holiday, PAC would like to invite all of its general members to come out and march with your Filipino American veterans at the JFAV rally this Thursday. Carpools will meet in front of the CSULB pyramid at 8:30 AM and we will depart by 9 AM. The rally will begin at 10 AM in front of SIPA in Historic Filipinotown LA. The actual walking/marching will begin at 11 AM where it will end at the Federal Building in downtown LA around 12 PM. After the march, you will have a chance to listen to special guest speakers from various Filipino organizations around the area as well as speeches from the veterans themselves. This year's themes/slogans is "The Lump Sum Failure" and "Application Denied is Justice Denied." Also, come out to PAC Cultural rehearsals this Tuesday (November 9) and Wednesday (November 10) in front of Robek's where we will be making signs and banners for the JFAV rally. Check your emails throughout this week to find out more information about the JFAV rally. So please, we hope you can come out and support your veterans who have sacrificed so much for our country! 

Student/Faculty Mixer!!!

We will be having our Student/Faculty Mixer on Nov. 18th right after our meeting. So come through and mingle around with our Pilipino Faculty. Ask questions and learn something new! 

Along with Pilipino faculty, there will be other faculty to advise us on different paths to take with our specific majors.

 Last year's was a great turnout, so be sure to make it out this year! We will also be providing free snacks!! Stay tuned for more info on the next newsletter!

~~Family Sweaters~~

Hey PAC'ers! So every family in PAC (North, West, South, East) are getting family sweaters!! We are trying to get them all in time for BroomBall (DEC. 2nd) so we can sport them there!! Orders need to be made soon and money is to be collected upfront! So if you would like a Family sweater for your fams make sure you hit up the corresponding people.:

North- Anjelica Filamor

West- Kyrstin Occiano

South- Michael Suatengco

East- Donna Penalba

Sweater price will probably range from $15-$20!! To learn more about your family's sweater hit up one of those four people listed!! Designs are being made and you can submit one too!! Just make sure that you implement PAC in the design somewhere. Because even though we have different Fams, we are all still one Unit, one Club, and one FAMILY!!!!

~~~Broomball!!!~~~

BroomBall is coming up! Let the games begin!!!! What is BroomBall?? It's when all of us head over to an Ice Skating rink and play games on ice. WITHOUT skates! Broomball is one of the games. Basically BroomBall is hockey with a ball and broomsticks. Come out an rep your fams in this friendly competition on Ice. As usual we have NorthEast Alliance and SouthWest Alliance during the games. Hopefully we will all have our sweaters in time! SouthWest is the current BroomBall Champions for the past 2 BroomBalls! Can NorthEast take it away this year? Come through and let's find out =D.

CHRISTMASFEST!!!!

Christmasfest is almost here!! Are you all excited?!?! If it's your first time hearing about it let me fill you in. Christmasfest is a huge celebration we hold in front of the USU lawn region by HHS. It's hosted by Kappa Psi Epsilon and PAC! We will be having tons of performances, a kid's corner, vendor booths, food, and just good vibes all around as we celebrate the Holiday Spirit =D. Everyone is welcome! Bring your families, your friends, anybody!

Save the date! It will be held on Dec. 4th!!! It's sure to be a whole day of fun! Stay tuned for more information!

One of the most anticipated events of the year...... SNOW TRIP!!!! What is Snow Trip?

It's the time of year where we all have just finished up with our first semester finals and we all need a break. So we all head out to BIG BEAR, rent out a cabin, and have a blast!

PAC CULTURAL NIGHTS!!!!

PAC would like to thank everyone who has been coming to PAC Cultural Practice! Its been great so far =D

As usual practices will be held this Tuesday and Wednesday at 6pm in front of Robek's. The usual spot!

PAC Cultural will be performing their dances at Christmasfest on DEC. 2nd!!!
