Freshman/Transfer Day

And for all those who stuck around this Thursday and participated at our Freshman/Transfer Day in the USU bowling alley we extend our gratitude and we hope you learned a good amount of information. We hope you had as much fun as we did =D.

Khoury's

So for those who stuck around even longer this Thursday and came out to our Back To School Bash with Kappa Psi Epsilon we would also like to say thanks for coming out! For those who went, you know it was a CUHRAAACCCKIN Night ! If you missed out on our event, don't worry the year is still young and many more good times to come!

                                                       *************** 4th General Meeting *****************
PAC will be having it's 4th general meeting on THURSDAY, Sept. 30th @ 4pm, in front of Robeks (where we usually have our meetings).

Ate/Kuya Revealings!

Don't have an ate or kuya ("Big Brother" or "Big Sister") yet? Then sign up with the ate/kuya program to get a big brother or big or big sister in PAC. Applications were handed out this past meeting. Whether your an oldie or newbie in PAC you can pick up an ate/kuya(requirements to be an ate/kuya = 2 Active semesters in PAC) or an ading. If you were unable to receive a form to turn in have no fear. I will attach the application on this email =D. If the attachment doesn't work check the website out, www.lbpac.com and follow instructions there! Turn them into our Membership Chair, Ms. Chadell Bumagat. Her contact is csulbpac....@gmail.com!! Applications are due by Tuesday this week and revealing is this Thursday!

PILIPINO AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH (PAHM)

October is around the corner and that kicks off PAHM! And PAC is the first to kick off this month full of Pilipino Heritage and every following week we have other PAHM events hosted by our ONE NATION organizations(Zeta Phi Rho, Chi Delta Theta, And Kappa Psi Epsilon)

First up is P-Town tour (Pilipino Town tour) which is on Saturday, Oct 2nd. Contact our Cultural and Philanthropy Chair's Monika Muy ( csulbpac...@gmail.com) and Christian Monsalud for more information.

And after that we have Poetry Night on Oct. 7th @ the Soroptomist House which is located by FCS. If you like to perform poetry, sing, interpretive dance, spoken word, anything!! Come out and sign up for Poetry Night. Once again contact our Cultural and Philanthropy Chair. It's guaranteed to be an awesome event! Come out and join PAC and One Nation during this night of performances.

HELL NO!! Friendship Games

Friendship games is just a little more than a month away and for the oldies we all know what goes down. It's one of our biggest events of the year where all the Pilipino Orgs from different colleges come together to join in a "friendly" competition of games, where the school's support Spirit, Pride, Unity, and "Friendship".  But Long Beach has a little tradition/rep that we are the Anti-friendship school. We have a reason for this. If you'd like to inquire more on that, Contact our sports coord. Kenneth Bautista (csulbpac.sportscoord.gmail.com) . Anywho, every year we have a theme and we need your help on deciding that theme! So please come with ideas to the meeting this Thursday!  Are you guys ready for F-Games!!!!?!?!?

PAC Cultural

Do you like dancing? Are you interested about Pilipino culture? Well why not kill 2 birds with one stone and learn Pilipino Cultural Dances! No experience is need and its fun to learn! PAC Cultural is PAC's cultural dance team that does performances to help raise money for PAC. And more money for PAC = more awesome events for you guys! So hit up our PCN Coordinators, Kyrstin Occiano (kocci...@yahoo.com) and Ajay Medina (dreee...@gmail.com) for sign ups and more info. Contacts are also on the website!

Can't get enough of PAC? Then check out our website! If you're ever wondering what's going on in PAC head on over to www.lbpac.com. It's update as often as possible to let you know what's up! If you ever miss a meeting and want to know what's going down, head on over to the website. From PCN to One Nation. You could find resources linked direct from the site. Check out our Youtube page via our "Media" link and see what's been going on. And if you've ever wondered where all those photos we take during our meetings and events go, check out our photos (another photo link to be added soon). Anything other concerns on the website? Let me your webmaster for the year know @ justin...@yahoo.com. We also have a facebook! Be sure to add us Search CSULB PAC and your sure to find it!

Ate/Kuya Bonding Time

After this Thursday's revealing, we will all have been paired up with our Ate/Kuya's. So to kick off the family bondings PAC's North,West,South, and East family's may hold family dinners/outings! So try to keep your day free after the meeting because everyone will probably go somewhere to eat and bond with their new family. It'll be fun so keep in mind that we may have Family outings after the meeting. As for where the Places will be at? It's still to be determined! =D Stay tuned.

Well that's the end of this week's issue. But let's leave it off on a good one. Let's have a little portion called...
You Know Your Pilipino When.....

1. you say "Open" or "Close" the lights.

If you have one that you'd like to submit and have posted on the newsletter, email csulbpac....@gmail.com and you can see your "You Know Your Pilipino" line next issue.
