Pierre, I was listening to one reasonable prediction that the two important changes taking place with AI arre how these machines can compound their queries to infinite length and how these "agents" might begin talking to one another.

On a more reassuring note, I also read a reasonable assessment that suggested LLMs were like other significant inventions that make a huge change at first but then can go no further than incremental change, e.g., the wheel, printing press, cell phones, etc. 

Of course, if someone wanted a concise review of Lonergan then one might say that, for Lonergan, questioning is consciousness.

On the topic with which you conclude your note, "for Lonergan, questionning is consciousness," I would like to call your attention to today's NYTimes article appraising the presen Pope Leo in the light of the 5th century Pope Leo the Great and of Leo XIII. The 3 Leo's have shown needed balance in the face of a constantly changing world order,  John
