Thank you for the Good Friday post. I'm slowly wading my way through the others.
I agree with the idea from your paper that, "Fundamentally, it comes down to the relationship between the individual
and the community in religion." In general, the relation between the individual and a society has always been fundamental. In particular, our two modern competing ideologies argue for either the ideal individual or a collective type. This seems to fit Lonergan's definition of a dialectic where two principles are linked and opposed, and we have his idea that something new should emerge from that.
