If you like your movies that tell a story, then you should definitely watch Hip Hop in American Cinema. This is one of those rare films that are worth watching because it tells an interesting story about a group of people that have created an impression on the nation. The movie is directed by none other than Ice Cube, who did the music with Eazy-E and many other legends. The Hip Hop genre is one that was born in the inner cities of America but today it can be found all over the world.

Hip Hop in American Cinema is the movie that started it all (okay, I made that up). It was a little slow at times, but then Donalson found his groove and it just kept getting better. It also has some great casting and one of the best actors to ever put on the Hip Hop genre, Michael Caine. He plays the role of DJ Douggie, who owns a record label that is underground and his wife is played by a lovely Woman Who Loves a Man named Lisa Marie Palmer.

Hip Hop in American Cinema takes place in the 80's when the artist politically seems to be speaking for the younger generations. The movie is a great example of how a song can get across a multitude of people in the hopes that they will listen to it and hopefully enjoy it. It is one of those movies that is very timely and true to it's subject matter. People love to hate rap and in this movie it was no different, but Donalson does such a fantastic job of taking a typically American subject and making it entertaining. There are some standout moments and some very funny scenes.
