Hello all,

Welcome all to the Londonandroid mailing group. We will mainly discuss
projects we could leverage via the meetup. We will also ensure that
most of our work can be exported into a lib and used elsewhere.

For my part, in the last couple of weeks, I have been struggling
creating my LocationDialog. First off, because only GPS works on the
emulator, secondly the accuracy is always 1 and finally registering
listener seems to fail if we start/stop location providers on the
spot. This is me talking out loud BTW. My idea was to have a working
version before mailing the group, however that seems to take ages. I
ll continue to work on this and post a wiki page whenever I finish. I
aim to produce something of the following:

http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/478969/device.png

On other news, I also managed to install the latest img with on-screen
keyboard and run native 3d application among other thing:

http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/478969/Screenshot-Android%20Emulator%20%285554%29.png
http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/478969/Screenshot-Android%20Emulator%20%28%3Cbuild%3E%3A5554%29.png

Lets get to business. Which name do you prefer for the project:

1. LondOnAndroid
2. Londroid

The second one was suggested lately and sounds better IMO.

Secondly, as there hasn't been much responses regarding the project
itself, I assume everybody is happy with my initial idea.

I also thought about a linux package manager we could build for native
app with a java frontend.

That s it for now.

Can I have a LETS DO IT!? Praz? Reto? Ankit?

Have a good week end!

./Carl

I prefer LondonAndroid purely because Londroid will cause confusion,
why not just Landroid?

I made a new logo.... the flags a bit nationalistic and considering
most of us are from a wide variety of backgrounds i thin its better to
signify London...

how can I upload the files?

Hi, Carl.

I started reading the source code, so that I can ask more questions at
tomorrow's meetup.

To have clearer picture of the architecture, is there any easy way to
extract diagram (such as UML, ER) out of the source code?

Oh, if visiualizing in digram is difficult, can you let me know 1 or 2
core files I should have a look?
