And for those who've visited Peru... despite the epicentre being at
sea, aftershocks are still being felt as far as Cuzco!!! This is a
really big one... and with phone lines down it's difficult for myself
at least to know if all my family are okay. I spoke to my parents
yesterday, but hopefully I can get hold of them again today... they
were okay yesterday, but majorly shaken and confused by the whole
mahem. Last time there was an earthquake this big-ish, was 1974!

Some horror stories are there are abaout 2-3 bodies lying in each
street... with aid unable to reach certain small towns near the
coast, Ica, Pisco and Chincha especially, aid, water and coffins! have
asked to be sent to my country who are in a state of emergency. The
earthquake has been upgrade to 8.0 on the RIchter Scale!
