All London_Latin_Life members,

I've received the below e-mail from the Peru Support Group... but firstly I like to ask you, as in any instance when donating money, please always make sure you check the links you are sending your money too.

It's better to be safe than sorry, and right now, the people of Peru need our help as soon as possible... food, water, blankets... coffins... I only pray the help reaches them quickly. Sadly the rescuers and family and loved ones are starting to loose hope; it's been a few days now... but miracles do happen... we can only pray for those who have lost loved ones and can now only play the waiting game till their family return to their homes, or are unearthed...

My parents are currently in Peru, and have themselves gone with clothes, food provisions and some blankets to local churches where support groups have set up collection points to transport the aid to the much needed people of Ica, Pisco and Chincha. Thankfully both mum and dad are okay, if not still a little shaky, but they luckily didn't receive the full force of it, as the people of Ica, Pisco and Chincha recieved the full brute force as they were closer to the epicentre.

I'd like to say a big thank-you to all of you who texted and e-mailed me with concerns for my parents. They are well, and hopefully will be back in London with us by the end of this month.

Thank-you for your support, and remember again, if you are donating please make sure you are doing so with trusted group(s).
