Howdy London Hackspace-
My name's Meredith, hi! I live (mostly) in San Francisco. I visited
the Hackspace a few years ago. I'm coming back to England for awhile
(family stuff) and would really love to meet/hang/geek out. I do a lot
of fabrication and design, and also have worked a lot in soft
circuits/etextiles.
I'm staying the first few days in a hostel, and then I'll be looking
for a room to rent/sublet.
I arrive the 6th- anything good going on around then? Or a good time
to meet and greet?

Hi All

I actually heard back from Meredith last night and was going to try to organise a meet-up on the weekend Nov 17/18th (when she is available) so she can talk about her work and give a demo/workshop around the materials she has developed/ uses. (We're still discussing details) I was just about to set up an online poll to see if people are interested and which day/time people prefer. 
I thought maybe we could run the session with Meredith fairly informally at the Hackspace as she is familiar with it and I wasn't expecting a huge crowd ...but I'm not a member yet and Becky is away that weekend and quite busy this month..any Hackspace members know if this would be possible and able to help fix this up??

There's nothing currently booked for 17th/18th so it shouldn't be a problem. I'd recommend choosing a day fairly quickly though, or it may be difficult to get the one you want.

Hi All

I've set up a doodle poll to try to find out levels of interest / preferred times for the meet-up with talk/demo from Meredith Scheff on weekend of 17/18th November. Details TBC but Meredith would like to talk/demo some of the materials and components she has developed in her work-mainly- flexible, iron-on circuit boards and solderable conductive thread.

Please indicate your availability to attend via: http://doodle.com/iasdfzcsw6x8nkq8  I'll need to work out if its worthwhile going ahead and getting Meredith to prepare stuff and get a venue in the next few days so if you could fill it in asap that's be great (even if you can't make it - so I know it's not just that you've not replied yet).

Anyone who has access to the Hackspace calendar and could book us in please drop me an email - or similarly if anyone can help arrange an alternative venue.
