Advice for equipment for e-textile lab

Hi All! 

I am currently based at University of Sussex in Brighton. 

I have an opportunity to set up an e-textiles lab for my research. I have worked with e-textiles and wearables but always on a smaller DIY ad-hoc scale. This an opportunity for me to establish a lab and practice in this area. 

I have been looking for advice specifically on 

Knitting machines, Looms and Embroidery machines that handle conductive materials well and precision. 

Also, any other considerations of equipments, supplies, needs from people like you with experience and insight.

Any advice, guidance is greatly appreciated. I am happy to skype is that is easier than email.
