Hi,

Machine Learning in my experience has been a pile of crap, I think I'll be impressed with HSBC's voice id, but that isn't working yet, and they're systems are randomly down.

However in a vain attempt to maintain sanity whilst at work  I have been using Spotify; my taste in music though can only go so far before I get jaded.

I don't know when I started using the Discover playlist on Spotify it must have been late last year, but in the last few months I've become more and more impressed, almost stunned, neigh awed by the tunes it is putting my way.

QZ wrote something up a while ago, perhaps this already out of date:

So it looks like they cobble playlists by mixing and matching, and sneakily using NLP on music reviews.
Although it would help if there was love in the choice, but I dare say that is in the pipeline.

I've been book marking 90% of the tracks it comes up with every Monday, and adding 10% to my hot list.  Who knew they'd be a resurgence in Shoegaze?!
