The Film "Edge of Tomorrow" as an example of Depth first search

Hi,

Having watched the Tom Cruise film "Edge of Tomorrow" last night am I
the only one who thought it was a good example of a Depth First
Search?

The film is based on a Japanese book "All You Need Is Kill", which was
inspired by some chaps experience of playing a hard game until he got
the hang of it and winz!
