Hi London Onliners,

So I just signed up for the SJSU Udacity $150 for a intro programming class - perhaps I'm a sucker, but I really want to see what's going on.

NLP again tonight? I'm really hoping to have my Viterbi algorithm working finally ...

Welcome to Introduction to Programming (cs046)

Congrats Sam!

You've enrolled in Introduction to Programming for credit at San Jose State University through Udacity. This class begins on June 3, 2013. In this class, you will learn basic skills and concepts using Java in an object-oriented approach. You will learn concepts like classes, methods and argument passing, loops, and general problem solving ability that will become building blocks to your programming skills.

In addition to the material posted online you are required to complete the proctored midterm and final exam on time. Please note that tests are the majority of your grade. To be successful in this class, plan ahead by reviewing the overview page. Class will end on August 9, 2013.

Expect to spend roughly 4.5 hours each week watching videos and 9 hours each week outside of the class over a 10 week time frame.

By taking this class for credit, tutoring services will be available to you during peak hours 7 days a week (or by appointment 24 hours a day). You will also need to make sure that your computer meets the following minimum technology requirements.

Hi,

Sounds interesting to see how this goes.   Wonder if it will be capable of being monetised to the point where they will offer a degree.

D

PS>  Probably wont be there tonight.   Next week

I'm afraid I am elsewhere tonight. Did get PA3 working -after spending a day fruitlessly training it on the wrong data set!
