Scala AND Spark engineers - perm and contract - London

Hi all,

We are inviting scala developers at all levels of experience to apply by emailing us your CV and salary/day rate expectations.

This is a technical systems integration role. You will join a team implementing a big data product for different organisations - mainly (but not only) banking and insurance.

Modern tech stack, and very strong growth plans within the UK and globally.

At the junior end you need to bring:

- Good grasp of functional programming

- Some experience with scala, and a passion to improve quickly

- An appreciation of Apache Spark, and a desire to learn it quickly

At the senior end, you will also need to bring:

- Several years of scala development experience across multiple productionised projects

- Good exposure to data-intensive / 'big data' applications

- Strong Spark knowledge (obviously scala spark ideally)

- Good working practices, especially testing your code

- Willing and able to mentor juniors

- Comfortable having input into design choices and applying general architectural/systems thinking

Bonus points for experience of financial fraud, AML, KYC etc.

Work is generally based in London, but there is potential to travel if this interests you.
