Hi!

after a few months of feverish activity on the MA/MFA in Computational Arts the hacker-artists have now entered the final 3 months on the degree and are working at full speed for their final show in Sept (for which you'll get an invite). During this time they are supported by Andy Lomas, educator and artist famously known as the graphics supervisor for the Matrix movies.

Along him, Professor Atau Tanaka is leading critical sessions, helping them setup the exhibition and discussing topics in performance and installation.

They have been working out of our hatchlab equipped with all the latest tech as well as their dedicated learning space. Two massive rooms available just for them to use for socialising, collaborating, learning as well as to rehearse their performances or store their large installations. Here are a couple of pictures from the last few summer sessions:

OPEN EVENING: a few of you have written to come visit the MA/MFA in Computational Arts at Goldsmiths and learn more about it. To facilitate that we're running an open evening on Thursday 4th of July @ 6:30pm
During the open day you'll be able to:
  • see the labs where we teach
  • you'll get to see the latest gadgets we use to make computational art
  • you'll meet students currently on the course
  • see a short presentation about the MA/MFA
Join us for an evening of computational fun!

When: 6:30pm - 7:30pm Thursday 4th of July
Where: Hatchlab, St. James Hatcham Church, New Cross

Hope to see you there. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact me!

If you can't make it have a look at the links below.
