Hello all

I was wondering whether anyone would be interested in exploring my "getting my playlists out of spotify and filling the gaps with songs from jazz-on-line.com" project with me at some point.

It has spawned http://github.com/alsuren/playlists (which contains an archive of my playlists and the hack that is jolify.py) and http://github.com/alsuren/spotigit (which is what I used to create the archive above, and I should probably push my current revisions to at some point).

The big problem that I have with my jolify.py script is that jazz-on-line.com has a limit on the number of songs you can download in a day, so I need a way to gradually download as many songs as I can over a longer period of time (and maybe seed them via bittorrent so that popular songs can be downloaded without pegging their server too much.)

I have recently (as in Today) discovered xspf as a playlist format, http://spotify2xspf.appspot.com/ as a nice quick hack, and through that, tomahawk and playdar as the player and "music resolver" of supreme awesomeness. I might just make a jazz-on-line.com music resolver and declare myself "done", but my dreams to also automatically seed all of my creative-commons based files sounds tempting too.

Any thoughts?

David.
