I broke the parting tool earlier... it wasn't cutting well, so I think it was rather blunt and I was applying a bit much force!

I found a spare in the tool room, which cut much more nicely!

I want to replace the broken one... is this a good purchase?

yes an indexable parting tool is a sensible addition the example will do the job but we may want to consider a larger shank

If we want something a bit more expensive that will tackle more jobs then I'd be willing to chip in bit.

Dean,
During our training earlier this week, Tim noticed that the new indexable parting tool blade in the tool room has some damage to one end rendering it unable to hold the inserts properly.
Do you, or anyone else, happen to know the make and model number of this part? Or who may have bought it so that I can enquire with them?
If it isn't too costly then I would be happy to contribute to its replacement.
Kind regards,
Oli.
