Yes, we've been pretty lax at the news recently, and it's shown.  The main mailing list is very high traffic, and it's difficult to keep up with changes and what's going on in the space.  So we're going to try resurrecting the weekly news page, and include any important notices and recent mailing list discussions in it.

To fill the gap, I've pulled together most of what I can find since the last news (which was 4 months ago).  There's a lot in here, but you should be able to dip into any unfamiliar stuff.  Next week's will be much shorter, promise.
