Hi,

Out of pure curiosity, has anyone tried hacking the OpenBT wifi hotspots popping up all around London, with a man-in-the-middle MAC/wifi address impersonation?

I don't see why it would not work. If you really wanted to its easy to
fake a login page for a company as well as the ssid using nothing but
a laptop. You could even allow them to get on the web by passing that
data to the real access point or easier just using a cheap prepaid 3G
dongle.

Would not call IP-over-DNS a proper hack, and bandwidth is shit, but it
works almost everywhere and does not depend on some other client being
present to piggyback on. /nils.

ICMP tunneling also works in a lot of places but its a little flaky at
best.
