Hi, I'm a new member who joined a week ago. Long story short, I was shown how to use the tank a week ago but for some reason, probably an idiosyncrasy I'm unaware of, the bubble etch function will not start.
Could someone tell me if they know if it's out of service and if it isn't is their a trick to get it started?
Cheers in advance,
Pip (HS08292)

It was broken and is now using a 'secondary' air pump. I don't know how it works I'm afraid-

Apparently, fumes from the etchant have reached the pump and corroded the bearings. Liam is looking at it to determin of they're replaceable. If they're not, I have another pump.

Suggestions on how to keep the fumes out of the pump welcome. There are one-way fish-tank valves to protect it but they have a tendency to stick. Better quality ones could be worth a try.

The better quality valves are on the way already :)
The strong bubbler function is only a luxury really, I etched a board without copperfil on monday (while showing other members) in about 8 minutes.
