Hello everyone,

I'm writing a small parser for the Barclays's exported data to track my expenses , the csv file is good enough for me , the problem is update it.

I would love to automatise the process of downloading the file , the Barclays site is paranoid, the procedure to log in needs 2 steps, remember at least 20 digits and there is an anti bot check as well (the android app doesn't go in background as well , it just close) and my site parsing skills are near to 0 .

Does anyone know an alternative method to download the cvs file? Any experience with it?

You might find https://monzo.com/ interesting. It has an open and useful API. Unlikely to be any other method with Barclays. There is a standard for other banks to implement, but its likely to be a long time before they get round to it.

https://teller.io/ is trying to build what you're asking for, but it's not yet publicly launched, you need to join a waitlist

A friend of mine recently launched https://www.meetcleo.com/ which can log in to the Barclays API in read-only mode. It does require you to switch your login mechanism to the less secure password and PIN system rather than PingIt. If that's still OK for you, send them an email and ask how they did it - they might be willing to share.

This might be of help: https://github.com/russss/barclayscrape

I've not looked at it yet but I'm looking to use it to do much the same as you seem to want to.

I assume this is what LHS uses to get member payment info?

James.
