I'm putting an order in for Rapid tonight - anybody want to add stuff,
or confirm what they already have, please see

They seem to have a number of reasonably priced digital power supplies (Example: http://www.rapidonline.com/Electrical-Power/30V-2-5A-Regulated-power-supply-65049) - anyone have any experience with them?

I have that model. It's decent enough, though I've never done much beyond prototyping very basic circuits with it / powering things I've lost the AC adapter for.

That's the same one Maplin used to sell. They look cheap and nasty but
survive better than the modern switchmode ones. Regulation can be a
bit poor (I've had to stick a big capacitor on them to avoid
oscillation on loads with an internal switching power supply)

I've got the analogue version, which is £10 cheaper.
Works fine, and I can get +/-12v and +5v rails simultaneously, which is why I bought it.

Did you put this order in yet? I was thinking of adding some test leads for the hackspace electronics bench.

Hi Necati,

Yes, I wasn't able to check with you but hoped you still wanted them.
If not I can probably use them.

If you have a box I'll put them in tomorrow night, otherwise you can
find them in my box.

What's the easiest way to pay ? It's difficult to catch me at the
hackspace but you could leave cash in my box, or do a bank transfer,
or paypal. Whatever's easiest.
