I have been back down on the Isle of Wight where I have a number of hives and one of them had enough honey to take this year, the majority of it went to the person who was looking after it for me but I have kept one frame aside which I will be bringing up to the hackspace for everyone to taste and see what real honey is all about.

I will bring it in on Wednesday around noon, I promise it will be delicious! Everyone's welcome to come have a taste.

No idea on the video thing, I kind of hurf blurfed in front of the camera like I always do anyway so I doubt it will be any good.

Beekeepers don't tend to use prime stock (spun honey) for mead. After the spinning, we clean all the equipment down with fresh water, filter out the wax, then use this honey/water mixture to make mead, saving on waste (though we put the equipment outside and let the bees lock the remaining honey off usually, they do an amazing job cleaning it.)
