Hi all,
As I always leave things to the last minute I am stuck for a costume for my work fancy dress party on Friday night. The theme is iconic movie characters.
My last resort is to go to a fancy dress shop and spend a fortune on a crappy generic outfit.

I have just had an idea of making a Terminator eye piece (see attachment for what i am shooting for). I have some modroc plaster bandage that i can use to make a half mask that would cover the left side of my face. I am thinking i can use some tin foil and other wires but the killer feature needs to be the red eye. I am going to have a rummage around the space tonight for a lens or bit of plastic i can stick a red led behind but if anyone knows of a old camera or lens that is about 2cm diameter it would save me some time. The ultimate would be something that i could automatically change the aperture on, if anyone has any suggestions i am all ears. Time is obviously a factor.

thanks

toby

I usually go as a scarecrow. Just find your tatty old clothes, some old
boots and a wolley hat. Get hold of some straw and stick it around your
wrists, ankles and under the hat. Job done. I believe there was a
scarecrow in the Wizard of Oz?

I went to uni in Plymouth, every fancy dress was a pirate social!

It was often surreal to see so many drunk pirates walking around town!

Scarecrow is a option as i have plenty of crappy clothes. Pirate requires too many props i don't have.

I still wanna make the Terminator plan work.

I got a peter rottentail for our companies fancy dress day. actually
wore it at work, had scrum meeting and went to the pub lunch in it.
*ah good times*.
