Can anyone recommend a utility for networking homeplugs?  (The utility should work under Linux or Win7.)

I have three generations of homeplug now that I'd like to have talk to each other:
(a) 2x Solwise PL-85PE Homeplug Turbo 85 Mbps [HP 1.0] - see http://www.solwise.co.uk/net-powerline-pl-85pe.htm
(b) 2x Netricity Powerline Ethernet 85 - see http://www.maplin.co.uk/netricity-85mbps-powerline-kit-223481
(c) 1x TP Link TL-PA211 [200 Mbps, Homeplug AV] - see http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details/?model=TL-PA211

The Solwises haven't been communicative for so time.  The Netricities were happily talking to each other until I used the TP Link utility to attempt to configure them into a network with the TP Link, since when they've not even been able to speak to each other.  (TP Link has suggested that I remedy this on my own.)

Thanks,

Colin

I use Solwise and Develo 500 units and generally find the Solwise app the most useful

I've had to re-flash a few times when they stop working

It may be worth looking at the specs quite carefully as mine say they are not backwards compatible i.e. the 500's can't talk to the 85's

See this: http://www.solwise.co.uk/net-powerline-intro.htm

the tool I use the most is here: http://www.solwise.co.uk/downloads/files/net-pl-500av-4pe-powerpacket-utility.zip

For information, I'm currently building a powerline noise detector with the aim of identifying badly behaved devices that are causing problems and reducing data speeds

Good luck

Thank you Ian.

The Solwise utility seems to be a version of the utility supplied by TP Link as well.  (The TP Link version that I have also has a QoS tab.)

Have you seen good documentation, or step-by-step instructions anywhere?

I think that, until I invest in more 200’s, I’ll concentrate on just getting the 85’s working again.

Best,
