Subject: Easter At Hampstead Observatory
The Observatory is going to open for some additional evenings during
the next two weekends.
From Good Friday to Easter Monday inclusive we are going to be open
from 8pm to 10pm.
The following weekend we are also open from Friday (royal wedding day)
to Monday evenings but from 9pm to 11pm because the evenings are
getting lighter, later.
After that we open as usual on Friday and Saturday evenings from 9
to11pm for the rest of the season.
We are of course still opening each Sunday throughout, from 11am to
1pm to view the Sun.
We finally close on Sunday 22nd May for the summer break, and re-open
at the end of summer on Friday the 16th September.
I would urge you all to try and make it along one evening between now
and the 22nd of May to catch Saturn, now at its best for the next ten
years. It is 12 years before it will be as good as it gets.
The next two weekends may well be quieter on Sunday and Monday, so if
you have a choice come then because you may get a chance to see more.
Happy Easter, Simon Lang.
