Hi All,

Regarding the above, I just wanted to check that those with names down for tomorrow are still on...

They are:

Myself, David, Billy, Dominic.

And also whether there are any more takers; eg Tom are you returning?

There is room for 6 in total.

Cheers

Paddy

Oh sorry did I shout?

Cheers

Shit sorry!
I'm going to have to bail on this for a few months as I'm not really able to afford it at the moment

I'll be along this evening.

If i have time, i'll pick up the rest of the rebar from the workshop
to take down. Phill requested the we keep a few of them, so i'll stick
them in the metal stock bins.

I've had had similar issues with affording the class every week. It's
why i go along once a month.

What about booking classes on a monthly basis?

It might solve the erratic attendance/affordability problems...

Yes set a date :)

I want to get involved, however chasing times down for when things happening is hard. Especially if your not apart of the in crowd.

There is no "in-crowd".

If you want to do something, decide what you are going to do, get some
other people to help you if it requires more than one person, then go
get on with it.

As for the blacksmithing classes, possibly other people misunderstood,
when i suggested monthly classes. I was not suggesting that we have
one class a month! What i was trying to suggest was, if we book the
classes in four-week-blocks, rather than booking as and when each
week, then it might be a little easier for Ian to guarantee the
numbers on the classes.

I can only go along once a month due to my personal cash-flow
situation. There were a couple of other members who enjoyed the class,
but found £30 per class each week a little expensive.

Note, the class costs what it costs, as Ian has to pay for the use of
the forge, the materials, the fuel, and his time, add in the size
limits of the space and you can only get 5 or 6 students working
safely in the forge.

Given the choice, i'd play with hot metal every day of the week. :))
however getting tuition once a month is fine. I'm trying to work on
building the tools so i can practise on my own time.
