Hi,

Wonder if anyone interested in joining to buy ABS pellets.

I found a UK supplier that if buying 25Kg, it would work out £8 per kilo. The price per kilo is actually £5.75 but the handling and delivery cost is £45 so the more you buy, the cheaper it gets.

Thanks,

Miguel

At £45 for delivery, my first thought would be go and collect it instead; it might work out cheaper.

Hi,

I should had clarified it in my first post: the delivery is £10. They normally sell in metric tons but they can open a pellet ( I think this is how it's called) but need to charge £45 for the handling and packaging - someone has to manually do it. The company is www.northernpolymersandplastics.com

This is from the email they sent me:

"A price delivered to you would be…

£5.75/kg – ABS

£45 – flat handling fee

£10 – postage

25kgs would be… £198.75 plus VAT delivered."

Cheers,

I have to say that I'm working away from ABS now and do more with PLA.

I would like the 'space to have it's own filament extruder, but I'm not really ready at the moment....

It could be a good use of recycled pastics (of the right sort).

http://www.emakershop.com/browse/listing?l=778 is cheaper, the same
seller also sells masterbatch for colouring the ABS and smaller bags.
