Hi,

We are a small firm based in Harlesden, we make anything and everything for customers ranging from museums to advertisers to inventors.
We are looking for someone outside the skill base of a standard technician or engineer.  Someone who is confident with a mill and a lathe, can weld, can solve problems, is unfazed by a bit of electronics or modelmaking. They are even happy to turn their hand to bit of pyrotechnics.
In short a proper all rounder.

We have people approach us all the time who can do one or two of these things, or people who have come from industry and are unwilling to try unconventional approaches.

If you think you fit the bill then get in touch. This is a really exciting opportunity for the right person to work on well funded interesting projects.

Hi Patrick,

I've sent you an email. Let me know if you don't see it.

Thanks much,
Ryan

I'm not licensed for pyro, but five years in the infantry means I'm comfortable with making things go bang.
As to your other points; I'm a carpenter who specialises in unusual projects, I can weld, and I have more than a passing interest in electronics. I'd love to expand away from decking etc, and this sounds like a fantastic opportunity to do my favourite thing. Use the imagination.
By all means call me if I've ticked the right boxes.

I'd be interested, but my body is not in a physical state to guarantee my being able to do things reliably.

Maybe next year.

Hi Billy,
That is a shame. Had a similar candidate last year and the reality is the job is very demanding. Please do get in touch when things improve.

Hi Patrick,

I assume that the people who have approached you with one or two of these skills sets have been unsuccessful in applying, or you would not still be looking.

May I ask how long you have had this vacancy?

Regards,

Jonathan

Had a really great response from this, thanks to all for getting in touch.
The only thing that we didn't get was any women applicants..... if there are any out there then please do get in touch!

We are still collating names and details and will be in touch soon to organise chats with everyone who is keen,

Patrick
