Whoever has dismantled the lathe and left it in bits: that's not cool.
You should have asked on the list first, and you should have left a
note explaining who you were and what you were doing.

Secondly, I'd like to re-iterate that work surfaces should be left
*absolutely clear* of everything (including monitors, keyboards, and
1980s-era dumb terminals). I've come in several times in the last week
to find stuff lying on the desks. Today there was a bike sitting on
the desk in the workshop. It's rude and annoying for the next user.

Even with the new workshop we still don't have loads of space
available. We all have to work to keep the space tidy.

I'll put a note on it explaining that I am cleaning and realigning it.

I'd just like to reiterate the tidiness aspect. Especially when
working with tools. If you use something please, please put it back in
its place, even if you found it somewhere else (if it doesnt have a
place, make one for it and use the label maker to mark it permanently,
as we didn't have time to do that for all the tools on the tool rack
when we made it.. Its extremely frustrating to work in a mess left by
someone else.
