thanks for this!

Any proposals?
As usual my recommendations are:
- Southampton arms (been already but it is a lovely pub)
- Euston tap (small and busy so chance of outside with heaters)
- Bree Louise
- Sam Smiths pub :p

I'm away for the next couple of days, back on Friday. I'll probably
have internet access but not entirely sure.

So I'm calling a beer evening for Friday 21st, 7pm onwards, Euston
Tap, but will leave the doodle open for a second round, probably on
Friday 4th November. Venue for the second one TBD.

Sounds reasonable; I may or may not make it (I should be moving my boat that day so I may decide to stay on it and toast the fact I own a boat)

Think of the fun to be had if we get there before a "do not hack"
sticker has been affixed to it.

Boat party will hopefully soon

"do not hack" stickers will be applied via bolt cutters and or hammer to anyone attempting to hack my house

I think it is pubspace but bigger better or just a different subject line - who knows?

Also, tim: cheers!

Before anyone else posts this[1] thought it might make a good crib sheet should we run out of pubs... or possibly be a good experiment to try them all and see if we agree?

I think Mason&Taylor is the closest thing we have to a local, certainly if Mr Sparkles or Jonty have anything to do with it.

Good point. Yes, it was the most popular option. The earlier one was
just because the 4th cut a few people out.

Let's settle on the 4th. But where ? The Euston Tap was good, but
painfully busy. Can we find somewhere a bit more relaxed ?

I think the problem will be that anywhere good will be rammed on a Friday night, I think that's just going to have to be the sacrifice we make :p

A more off the beaten track option is the Greenman on riding house street, it's got an upstairs room that can be pretty quiet although it will still be pretty busy on a Friday.

S

Either way, 4th looks good!

The 4th is the first friday of the month.
London 2600 will be drinking in the upstairs room of the
Nell of old Drury, Catherine street, near Convent Garden
with overspill and smokers on the pavement at the
front.
About a third of the people who go to the Nell are
hackspace members or regular visitors.

It is usually fairly full but we can just take over
more tables upstairs if people get in by 7:30 ish.

We've settled on the Green man, Riding House St., from 7pm

http://www.thegreenmanw1.co.uk/

I think I'm going to try the chips at the Golden Union, I'll be there
about 6:30. Not saying I won't try the snacks at the pub too.
