I am making up a table and will complete the project on Sunday. I need the pillar drill and clamps.

You are already storing these items before approval and using box stickers for what they are not for.

I can't see this being too much of a problem, but people should get permission before bringing stuff in

I'm generally in favour of a rule that says

"if you break the rules, the answer is no"

I understand. However, I was faced with a situation where I had a car for a day and it was the only chance to move them here. the stickers were only to prevent them going into general use. I had hoped that the request would be approved before it became an issue. In the event, I was sick as a dog and so couldn't get the project done last week. In any case, I plan to have them gone by Monday evening.
