Hi guys

I hope it is ok to forward this to the list - briefly, it's a "hallowe'en scareathon". It came via MzTEK because they want more girls to know about it, but boys are welcome too :)

Hi there,

Just trying to get the word out about a Halloween Scareathon I'm organising
for Digital Shoreditch on Saturday, October 27th (it's kind of like a
hackathon, but the whole point is to create or build something that scares
the living daylights out of people) .  We'd love to get a bigger female
presence there, so I thought I'd share with the list.

Also, we've got a proposals portal open now for ideas for next year's
festival, and again it would be great to get more women involved through
giving talks and hosting workshops on what they're interested in and
passionate about within the industry.
