Hi all,

I'm moving out of the country and have to get rid of some equipment in a hurry. I've got some free stuff that might be of interest to people here.

For pictures and updated list, see: (I'll update the page as stuff is taken).

Current list of free things:
- Analog oscilloscope
- Maplin solder iron, still boxed
- Ferric chloride for PCB etching, ~4L
- 1L acetone
- Relisys 17" LCD monitor (1280x1024) with VGA connector
- Zaurus SL-5000, Linux handheld + accessories
- Pentium 3 mini motherboard, PAL LCD mini screen
- 12-pack of Sugru, unopened
- Assortments of components
- Biscuit tins
- 2 Netgear routers, 1 beBox. 802.11g
- Powered USB hud
- Philips electric candles with charging station
- Blow torch
- Sented oil lamp
- Mini camping gaz with 4 butane bottles (one slightly used)

If it's easier I could just bring the whole lot to the space for you to just grab, but I don't want to do that if it's just going to be considered cluttering junk.

I'm also selling some stuff on eBay, but I'm prepared to seriously slash prices (or make it free depending on item) for hackspace members.

- Laminating machine. Modified for toner transfer for PCB etching! (still works for original purpose)
- Duratool temperature controlled soldering station
- Dremel rotary tool (no bits)
- Galaxy Tab case (purple)
- BT Home HUB 2.0 router 802.11n
- USB Logitech steering wheel w/ force feedback for PC and PS3
- Sony wireless RF heaphones TMR-RF875RK

Contact me (preferably off-list, contact details on linked pages) if you want anything or more information.

Thanks,
Lionel.

Just wanna say it's cool that you are posting these here. I haven't
really any use for the things in my mind self, I mean, the analogue
scope sounds useful to me but I can use the space ones anyway so I
guess it could find a better home.

I wouldnt mind having at your component selection, and perhaps the
blowtorch too. Although in the case of the latter, i don't have any
specific use for it at the moment, it'd just be nice to have around,
so if anyone else would rather have it, I'm sure i could do without.

I'm interested in the scope! My old one is so decrepit now it's only
really good for showing off what the general concept of a scope is.
I'm also interested in the acetone (I'm down to my last few ml) and the
monitor (my sisters one badly needs replacing. It's started going purple
at random and is badly faded).

I'm curious about the mini motherboard and the Linux handheld, but I
don't want to be greedy. Also too many ongoing projects as it is. :/

When do you need them gone/collected by, and from where?

Thanks Lionel for posting this.

The LCD monitor would be really useful for editing and for future live-
edit desktop machine (workshop in HS in coming weeks).

And the solder iron would be perfect for my projects.

Assuming that Marc means the 17" monitor, I'd be interested in the
mini monitor please.
Also the camping gaz stove & bottles unless someone else wants them.

FeCl could probably be usefully added to the hackspace stash, and sugru too.

Hi all,

Thanks for all the interest so far.

Taking the request in the order received in this list, I currently have:

Dave Ingram
- Blow torch (may want to share with the space?)

Katie Sutton
- Sugru

Sci
- Oscilloscope
- Acetone
- 17" Relysis monitor
- P3 motherboard + mini PAL screen?

marc - HackTheMedia
- New solder iron

Alec Wright
- Assorted components

Adrian Godwin
- Camping gaz
- Mini PAL screen?

Thanks,
Lionel.

That would be wonderful, thank you! If you can manage to get to the Space and place the blowtorch in my box, then that would be ideal. If not, let me know and I'll arrange a time to collect.

Thank you for donating all this stuff!

If it's still available, I'd be interested in Zaurus SL-5000, Linux handheld + accessories and the Philips electric candles with charging station.

Also interested in the blowtorch. Would it be possible to share it?

Thanks,

Thankyou! :)
If Adrian wants the P3 and screen though, please let him. I won't get
the time to work on it for months yet anyway.

It was actually only the screen I wanted. Since it was noted as PAL I
assumed it wasn't particularly essential to the motherboard.

Certainly! It will likely live in my box at least until I have time to
go to the space and pick it up, but it's not something I'll be using
hugely often.

Hi all,

I've left all the stuff in the space, near the member boxes at the back on the left. Items have been labeled with people's name:

Blow torch, Dave Ingram (may share with members?)
Sugru in Katie/tajasel box
Oscilloscope, Sci
Acetone, Sci
Relysis 17" monitor, Sci
P3 motherboard, Sci (in Happy Hacking Keyboard box)
New solder iron, marc - HackTheMedia
Eizo 17" monitor, marc - HackTheMedia
Assorted components, Alec Wright + free for all
PAL screen, Adrian Godwin (in Happy Hacking Keyboard box)
Camping gaz, Adrian Godwin
Zaurus, Matthew & Anna Israelsohn (some accessories on top of box).
Ferric Chloride, Hackspace

I must profusely apologise, I realised too late that I put everything in the "machine area: do not store your stuff here" area. I was in a hurry (I'm moving to the US on monday) and couldn't hang around to sort it out. Please pick you stuff up when you can or get it moved to a more reasonable location.
There's quite a lot of random components for the taking, not labeled for anyone in particular, feel free to store as Hackspace property, or take what you want.
Also you'll probably have to trash some of it that no-one will want.

Sorry for the extra work I'm imposing on you, I appreciate the help finding a good home for this stuff.

Have fun,
Lionel / Hikey.

That's great, thanks! I may not be able to get to the space before Monday, so I'll sort out the blowtorch then if it hasn't yet made its way to my box.

Thanks again for your generosity, and good luck with the move!

Great job Lionel!

everything!

Could someone look after my stuff for me please ? The screen will
probably go in my box, you could put the gaz in the etching cupboard
for now.

Thankyou so much Lionel! I've been by and collected my bits from the
selection with the exception of the Acetone which I couldn't see. These
are going to be a massive help to me!

If I just overlooked the Acetone or someone moved it, could those who
find it put it in my box and make sure the cap's done up?

I won't be in London again until 28th Jan, can someone stick the sugru
in my box for me? :) I believe it's on the rack closest to the wall,
facing inwards, labelled with both my online/offline names.

FWIW those who also wanted it: the projects I've got in mind won't
require all the sugru in the pack so I'm happy to share, email me
off-list with how much you need and I'll do my best to share the
remainder out fairly :D

Yours is already in your box.  It's halfway down the second aisle, 3rd shelf, facing the room.
