So, it seems like we haven't had a meeting in a while. I don't have
the time to help out organising a full meetup but I am experienced in
the ways of beer. So I'm going to propose a pub meetup and I'm going
to propose it for Wednesday May 2nd.

Any venue suggestions?

Depending on the number of attendees (and previous meetups have been pretty large) at least the first two of those are potentially too small to accommodate our masses.  I don't know The Cask.

Assuming this Cask, near Victoria/Pimlico - it's pretty good

The Craft Beer Co would be my choice (not least because it's a
minute's walk from my office...). If we can monopolise the upstairs
then there'll probably be enough space (and if we can't, there's
always the pavement outside as long as it's not raining).

So I'm fine with that if everyone else is!

Just do it! Maybe book a few tables - even though it's last minute I
imagine we'd get a good turnout.

May/may not make it depending on jetlag.

OK, done! I'll see if they can reserve us some tables but I'm not
entirely sure if they do that.

Lanyrd event (because I felt like I had to publicise it somewhere):

Aye - but as mentioned, busy.

"A quiet, pleasant pub with good beer and enough room, in which to observe and enjoy your long thin dowel attached to a minor celestial object." ;)

What sort of number? Upstairs in De Hems can accommodate 40ish but needs booking.

Agree that Craft beer (and The Cask) get very busy though.

Just a reminder - this is tomorrow at the Craft Beer Co:

I've managed to reserve the upstairs (through twitter, no less), so
hopefully we'll have some space.

I'll probably be there from 1800, if anyone else is at a loose end.
