Maker Assembly Manchester
12 November 2016
Maker Assembly, organised by the team behind Elephant & Castle, and Brighton Mini Maker Faires, is a gathering of people interested in making. We bring people together to have a critical conversation about cultures of making: their meaning, politics, history and future.
Speakers include:
David Li – founder of Shenzhen Open Innovation Lab
Craig Dunlop – founder of the makerspace Workshop in Cape Town.
Justyna Swat – architect & co-founder of POC 21.
Ruth Claxton – artist & project manager at MakeWorks Birmingham.
Felipe Fonseca – activist & co-founder of MetaReciclagem network in Rio de Janeiro.
Maker Assembly takes place at Madlab, a hub for all things creative in the heart of Manchester’s Northern Quarter.
We want the event to be friendly and intimate, so tickets are
limited.
