Hello Lompico Fans

My husband and I have been looking to move out your way. We got
married in the Santa Cruz mountains and both love it up there. We
understand living there is different than visiting. Besides generally
interested in living in your area we were hoping to find a place we
could stay up there for a few days here and there to help make our
final decision. Any suggestions for a cabin/apt to rent for the
weekend or a B&B in the area? Any feedback on why you would or
wouldn't move there would be appreciated also.

Hi Carleigh,
While I don't know of any B&B in Lompico, there are a few down the
road in Felton and Ben Lomond. See http://www.lompico.org/accommodations.html.
You might also try Craig's List to see if anyone is renting out their
home right now.

Hi Carleigh,
I grew up in the bay area and spent almost every summer over here just
south of Felton. I moved here because I just like living in the
redwoods. I live on Carrol Ave and have been here just 1 year. I
commute to work to Morgan Hill in a carpool.

You might want to stay up here during the winter for a weekend to see
if this area suits your family. I love the peace and quiet. the
weather is great most of the time. Neighbors have been great.
Not sure of any bed and breakfast places...I would see about Boulder
Creek area.
You might want to contact a real estate office and ask.
Just realize that the power can go out for a couple days in the winter
due to wind and branches falling...no big deal. Living in the redwoods
can grow on you. It just gets better as time goes on.
Keep in touch..... hope you like the area enough to move.
